Do you feel that through MUN, you got the opportunity to bring the best out of yourself & positively impact others? Do know someone else this applies to, and want to share their story? 

 

 

 

 

Quick Facts:

The MUN Hall of Fame is a global competition for previous or present participants of Model United Nations who have had a positive impact on their peers or the Model UN community. Joining the competition is free, and open to any and all previous or current Model UN participant who meets the eligibility criteria. The top 5 finalists receive electronic certificates and website recognition. The top winner is recognized in person at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. United Ambassadors will cover airfare and accommodation for one top winner to receive the certificate award at the closing ceremony of UA-MUNC NYC 2018.

 

Who are we looking for? ie: application criteria: The competition is free and is open to *any and all* motivated and accomplished MUN youth leaders from around the world. Candidates would need to showcase proven former success stories in Model UN, a commitment to global citizenship/ promoting UN values in their MUN society. Ideal candidates would show attempts to improve their Model UN conference or club’s activities, structure or rules of procedure, in addition to active efforts to raise awareness on the Sustainable Development Goals in tangible ways through Model United Nations.

The Prize Winners: The competition will have 10 finalists who are published by United Ambassadors as permanent members of the MUN Hall of Fame. The top 5 winners receive electronic certificates and website recognition. The one top winner will be recognized at the United Nations Headquarters, amidst an international audience of MUN leaders, UN Diplomats, and UN Officials, in the closing ceremony of UA-MUNC NYC, for which United Ambassadors will cover single airfare and accommodation.

Types of Applicants:

A) Applicant: Individual applying on his/her own behalf, or on behalf of his organization.

B) Nominee: An individual nominated by another person. This can be a teacher, a founder, a team leader, a secretary-general, etc. The nominator/s must be the ones to complete all steps of the competition on this person’s behalf. Ex: submit the reports, prepare the videos, launch the publicity campaign that ensures they receive the votes).

 

Eligibility Criteria:

Age: Applicants/ Nominees (individual or group) must be 14 - 40 (or above).

Level: They may be students, fresh graduates or working professionals.

MUN experience: Strong experience in Model United Nations is required.

Costs: No fee is charged to apply for the Hall of Fame. United Ambassadors will grant one individual (the HOF winner) with a plane ticket to New York, and single accommodation at the Grand Hyatt hotel for 2 nights, in order to attend the closing ceremony of UA-MUNC NYC 2018 and receive the award certificate in person.
